Confront your mental blocks and turn them into building blocks. It is easier said than done, but we're here to share with you what you can do to help yourself.

Understanding what is causing your mental block will help you overcome it and shift your mindset that's needed to for business. Ask yourself what's causing this mental block. Is it self-doubt? Indecisions? Poor or fixed mindset? Comparison? Tunnel vision? Not quite sure what it is? Here are some steps you can take to help identify your mental block.

First, start with a task that's connected to your business plan or goal. Secondly, work on this task for 15 minutes. Thirdly, note down every time you focus changes, you slow down, distractions, etc. Fourthly, look at your notes, what have you noticed in the patterns or feelings? Keep repeating it until you realize what the mental block is.

Once you've identified your mental block, you want to dive deeper. List what your values are- there could be a connection to the mental block. Ask yourself why. Why are you feeling this? Why do you think this way? Is it an external force such as other people or naysayers? Once you start making these connections is when you can figure out what you can do to overcome them.

You may need to have a clear and clean working environment. Working in a cluttered environment could lead to having a cluttered mind. Cluttered desks can also lead to major distractions. This would be a good opportunity to clear out your desk. This will not only help with your mental blocks but it will also help shift your mindset for business.

Disconnecting from people who are negative or pessimistic is a BIG one. Be it family or friends. Make the choice. Take breaks when you need it. If you find yourself being distracted easily or veering off course then it's time to take a 30 minute break. Grab a snack, do a quick workout, or read affirmations. Affirmations are great to help overcome mental blocks and having a positive mindset geared towards your business.

Most importantly, take care of yourself. Your brain needs time to rest and recover. Do something that you enjoy doing. Meditate. Relax. Sometimes it can be as simple as taking care of oneself.

Once you start getting into the habit of identifying mental blocks, you can also get into the habit of having a positive mindset for business. Your mindset comes down to your behaviours, actions, and attitude. It doesn't happen overnight, but it can change.
